Nvidia, a global leader in AI and accelerated computing, has announced that its robotics ecosystem now includes over 2 million developers utilizing its robotics stack.
This milestone, revealed in August 2025, highlights the growing demand for Nvidia’s Jetson platform, launched in 2014, which has become a cornerstone for edge AI applications. The ecosystem, with over 150 hardware, software, and sensor partners, supports more than 7,000 enterprise customers across industries like manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and agriculture.
Nvidia also introduced its next-generation Jetson Thor platform, designed for advanced physical AI and humanoid robots, and announced a Foxconn-manufactured humanoid robot prototype set to debut in November 2025.

For example, Peer Robotics’ Peer 3000, an autonomous pallet jack, uses Jetson AGX Orin for warehouse navigation, while Diligent Robotics’ Moxi robot relies on Jetson Xavier for hospital tasks.
Jetson Thor: Powering the Future of Humanoid Robotics
Nvidia’s Jetson Thor platform is a significant advancement for physical AI and humanoid robotics. Built on the Blackwell architecture with a transformer engine delivering 800 teraflops of 8-bit floating-point AI performance, Jetson Thor is designed to handle the computational demands of humanoid robots.
It supports popular AI frameworks and generative AI models, integrating seamlessly with Nvidia’s cloud-to-edge software stack, including tools for robotics simulation, vision AI, and real-time sensor processing.
Jetson Thor’s modular architecture optimizes performance, power, and size, enabling robots to execute tasks like real-time object recognition, natural language processing, and autonomous navigation. With 7.5x more AI compute, 3.1x more CPU performance, and 2x more memory than its predecessor, Jetson Orin, Thor is set to power next-generation robots, including surgical assistants, delivery systems, and humanoids. Leading robotics companies like Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, and Figure AI are adopting Jetson Thor for advanced humanoid projects, such as Agility’s Digit and Boston Dynamics’ Atlas.
Foxconn Partnership and Humanoid Robot Prototype
Nvidia is collaborating with Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, to advance humanoid robotics. Foxconn is preparing production lines in its Houston facility to manufacture Nvidia’s GB300 AI servers and a humanoid robot prototype, with a public debut planned for November 2025.
This marks the first time Nvidia products will be assembled with humanoid robot assistance, showcasing a step toward automated manufacturing. Foxconn’s robotics division is developing two versions of the prototype—one with legs and another on a wheeled autonomous mobile base, the latter being a cost-effective option for factories.

Foxconn’s Houston factory, designed for robotic integration, is set to begin operations in Q1 2026. CEO Jensen Huang predicts humanoid robots will transform manufacturing within five years, supported by advancements in generative AI and simulation technologies. The partnership with Foxconn and the Jetson Thor platform position Nvidia as a leader in this transformative field.
