Kai Cenat, the world’s most popular Twitch streamer with 17 million followers, has officially launched Streamer University, an offline school designed to mentor aspiring creators in building successful streaming careers.
Announced on May 6, 2025, the program offers 150 selected participants an all-inclusive experience on a college campus, where they will live, learn, and create content under the guidance of industry giants like MrBeast and Mark Rober.
The initiative, which Cenat first teased in February 2025, aims to provide hands-on training in areas such as content creation, audience engagement, and business management.
MrBeast, known for his expertise in scaling a YouTube channel, will lead sessions on finance, while Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer turned science YouTuber, will conduct interactive experiments to inspire creativity.
Cenat himself, who broke Twitch records with 728,535 subscribers during his Mafiathon 2 subathon in November 2024, will serve as the “principal,” sharing his insights on going viral and building a community.
The excitement surrounding Streamer University led to an unprecedented response: within the first hour of registration opening on May 6, nearly 7 million people attempted to apply, causing the website to crash just minutes after launch.
Cenat shared a screenshot of the staggering numbers on Instagram, urging fans to be patient as the site struggled to handle the traffic. Even as of 9:09 AM CEST on May 7, 2025, the website remains accessible only to a lucky few, with many hopeful applicants still unable to register.
Streamer University is entirely free for participants, with Cenat covering all costs, including accommodations, equipment, and mentorship. The program is open to creators of all sizes, not just streamers, emphasizing passion and potential over follower count.
However, the intense demand highlights the competitive nature of the selection process, with only a small fraction of applicants securing a spot in this transformative experience.
