In a recent interview with TheInformation’s newly launched TITV, Mark Zuckerberg shared Meta’s bold plans for artificial intelligence, introducing two groundbreaking strategies that set the company apart from competitors like OpenAI.
The first centers on “personal superintelligence,” a vision that diverges sharply from the centralized AI approaches of other labs, which focus on solving global challenges. Instead, Meta aims to empower every individual with superintelligence tailored to daily needs — enhancing relationships, creativity, and entertainment.
The second strategy involves massive capital investment in infrastructure. Meta is constructing multi-gigawatt data centers, including the ambitious Hyperion project, which Zuckerberg highlighted in a Facebook post by overlaying its footprint onto Manhattan for scale.
Uniquely, the company is deploying servers in “storm-resistant tents” to accelerate construction, an unconventional method to fast-track its AI ambitions.
Zuckerberg is also aggressively recruiting top talent from OpenAI and other labs, offering researchers unprecedented access to computational power—maximizing GPUs per scientist with a pitch of “fewest people, most compute.” He dismissed rumors of $100-200 million compensation packages for top candidates, suggesting the figures have been exaggerated.

Central to this vision are AI glasses, which Zuckerberg positions as the primary platform for personal superintelligence. He predicts that, in the future, not wearing AI glasses will equate to “cognitive impairment,” drawing a parallel to the necessity of corrective eyewear today. This bold stance underscores Meta’s commitment to integrating AI seamlessly into everyday life, leveraging its infrastructure and talent to redefine how we interact with technology.
