Meta is gearing up to unveil its latest augmented reality (AR) glasses, dubbed "Meta Celeste," previously codenamed "Meta Hypernova." This innovative device promises to be a game-changer, offering a price point around $1,000—approximately ten times cheaper than its predecessor, the Orion model, which carried a hefty $10,000 price tag.
The "Meta Celeste" boasts a modern design and will come equipped with a wrist-worn controller bracelet named "Ceres." This accessory is expected to enhance user interaction, enabling gesture recognition and seamless control. The glasses aim to replace smartphones by allowing users to multitask with multiple applications simultaneously, leveraging gesture controls and touch-sensitive panels for capturing photos and videos.

With a retail price of approximately $1,000, "Meta Celeste" positions itself as a cost-effective alternative to competitors like the Apple Vision Pro. More details about the device are slated for reveal at the Meta Connect developer conference in September 2025, where the company is expected to showcase its full potential.
