Google has initiated the rollout of its AI assistant, Gemini, on smartwatches, effectively replacing Google Assistant on wearable devices. The update is now available for Pixel Watch users and will extend to models from Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and other manufacturers running Wear OS 4 or later in the coming weeks.
The new watch-based assistant supports text, voice, and image-based queries. Users can activate Gemini using the familiar “Hey Google” command or by long-pressing the side button. With deep integration into Google services, Gemini enables multi-step tasks directly from the wrist, such as creating a playlist in YouTube Music or summarizing recent Gmail emails.

Alongside this, Google has enhanced its Circle to Search feature, introducing an “AI Mode” for contextual information. This improvement is currently limited to users in the US and India on Android and iOS devices.
