Apple Unveils AppleCare One: A Unified Insurance Package for All Apple Devices

Apple has announced the launch of AppleCare One, a groundbreaking subscription plan designed to streamline protection for all Apple devices under a single package. Unveiled on July 23, 2025, this innovative program covers repairs, extends warranty coverage by two to three years, and provides priority support from Apple experts.

Priced at $19 per month, it offers a comprehensive solution for users looking to safeguard their iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and more.

The AppleCare One plan bundles together benefits previously spread across individual AppleCare+ subscriptions, including unlimited repairs for accidental damage like drops and spills, battery replacement when capacity falls below 80%, and expanded theft and loss protection now covering iPads and Apple Watches alongside iPhones.

It also allows users to add devices they already own — up to four years old and in good condition — extending coverage beyond the typical 60-day window. Additional devices can be included for a fee, adding flexibility for multi-device households.

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions. While some praise the convenience and potential savings compared to separate plans, others have dubbed it a bold move by CEO Tim Cook to introduce a form of “paid medicine” for iPhones and other gadgets. Critics argue that bundling essential repairs and support into a subscription model shifts the burden onto consumers, turning a once-standard warranty into a revenue-generating service. Supporters, however, see it as a practical evolution, aligning with Apple’s ecosystem approach and offering peace of mind in an era of increasingly expensive tech.
