Prada has unveiled the Prada Film Fund, a new initiative with an annual budget of €1.5 million to support filmmakers worldwide.

The fund, led by Paolo Moretti, former director of the Cannes Film Festival’s Directors’ Fortnight, aims to nurture innovative and boundary-pushing cinematic projects with no artistic restrictions.

Open to both emerging and established filmmakers, the Prada Film Fund offers grants across three stages of production:

  • Development: €15,000 to €80,000 for projects in the early stages.
  • Production: €30,000 to €250,000 for films in active creation.
  • Post-production: €15,000 to €100,000 for projects in the final phase.

Moretti emphasized the fund’s commitment to originality, stating, “The more radical and unique a project is, the more it will capture our interest.” This open-ended approach positions the fund as a haven for bold, unconventional storytelling.
