OSRS Best Money Making Methods

This guide contains every money-making method in Old School RuneScape. The easiest and quickest way to get gold is by buying gold at an online store, but if you want to farm yourself, here are your opportunities:

Tombs of Amascut (Solo)

Tombs of Amascut is the latest raid that has been added to the game.

To be able to participate in this raid and to do it efficiently you will need the following quest requirements:

Beneath Cursed Sands – to access the raid

King’s Ransom – for Piety

Dragon Slayer 2 – for Ava’s assembler

Recipe for Disaster – for Barrows gloves

Desert Treasure – for Ancient Magicks

Mage Arena 2 – for imbued god capes

To do this raid efficiently you will need high combat stats; the higher the better, but you should at least have:

• 95+ Attack
• 95+ Strength
• 90+ Defence
• 95+ Hitpoints
• 90+ Ranged
• 94+ Magic
• 77+ Prayer

To achieve the best results you should also have the best gear you can obtain. This raid can be completed with budget gear as well.

There are a number of videos on YouTube that showcase raid completions with gear worth less than 15m. However, to complete a budget-item run you need to be highly skilled. The best items to bring to the Tombs are:

• Fire or infernal cape
• Keris partisan of the sun, Bandos godsword

Killing Nex (Duo)

Killing Nex is the second most profitable money-making method. To access Nex you will need to complete these two quests:

Troll Stronghold

The Frozen Door

For stats you will need:

• 95+ Attack
• 95+ Strength
• 90+ Defence
• 90+ Ranged
• 90+ Magic
• 74+ Prayer

The best style to use for Nex is ranged, but you can also use a melee setup with Osmumten’s fang. Items to bring to Nex are:

Zaryte crossbow or twisted bow

Osmumten’s fang

Avernic defender

Infernal cape

Zaryte vambraces

Ava’s assembler

Necklace of anguish or blood fury

Masori or Armadyl armour

Rune pouch containing runes for thralls

Antidote++

Super combat and restores

Saradomin brews

Ranging potion

Profit assumes that you are killing Nex five times in one hour.

Theatre of Blood

Theatre of Blood is the second raid added to Old School RuneScape. Completing this raid efficiently with a scythe of vitur will earn you a substantial amount of money.

To access and complete this raid efficiently you will need the following quests:

Priest in Peril – access to Morytania

Desert Treasure – Ancient Magicks

Dragon Slayer 2 – Ava’s assembler

Recipe for Disaster – Barrows gloves

Mage Arena 2 – imbued god capes

Haunted Mine & Lair of Tarn Razorlor – salve amulet (e)

For stats you will need:

95+ Attack

99 Strength

95+ Defence

95+ Hitpoints

99 Ranged

94+ Magic

77+ Prayer

For gear, bring your best-in-slot melee armour with a scythe of vitur. If you do not have torva or bandos, you can use elite void. Example armour and weapons:

Profit rates assume three kills per hour with zero deaths. Each death will reduce your chances of obtaining a unique drop.

Chambers of Xeric

Chambers of Xeric is the first raid ever added to Old School RuneScape and still offers the best-in-slot ranged weapon drop in the game.

You do not need any quests to access the raid; however, some quests will provide an advantage:

King’s Ransom – Piety

Dragon Slayer 2 – Ava’s assembler

Mage Arena 2 – imbued god cape

Haunted Mine & Lair of Tarn Razorlor – salve amulet (e)

In addition to combat stats, you will also need skilling stats for this raid:

90+ Attack

90+ Strength

90+ Defence

90+ Magic

90+ Ranged

85+ Farming

90+ Herblore

77+ Prayer

90+ Construction

The item section is complex because each Chambers of Xeric layout differs. Depending on the raid layout you will need different equipment. For this raid you must bring your best gear for all combat styles.

The profit per hour assumes two raids completed in an hour with 30k+ points.

Corrupted Gauntlet

The corrupted gauntlet is an excellent money maker because you do not need to invest money in gear or supplies to complete it. Everything you obtain is therefore pure profit. The only requirement to participate is the quest:

Song of the Elves

Although there are no stat requirements to enter the corrupted gauntlet, higher stats will benefit you.
