Scammers have devised a cunning new scheme to steal cryptocurrency by capitalizing on the popularity of the Labubu toy brand.
The fraudulent tactic involves a fake website that lures victims with the promise of free tokens bearing the Labubu name.
The scam operates by enticing users to participate in a supposed token drop. To join, victims are instructed to connect their cryptocurrency wallets to the site. The website then requests access under the guise of verification. Once permission is granted, a malicious program activates, swiftly transferring funds from the victim’s wallet to the scammers’ accounts.
