Martin Scorsese has chosen his next cinematic venture, an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel *What Happens at Night*. The film will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, with production and financing negotiations currently underway between Apple Original Films and Studiocanal.
Scorsese’s film follows an American married couple who travel to a snowbound European town to adopt a child. They check into a nearly deserted hotel, where they encounter an eccentric cast of characters, including a singer, a businessman, and a healer. As their stay lengthens, the couple’s grip on reality and confidence in their past begin to unravel.
