How to Join TikTok One: Creator Eligibility, Project Thresholds and Brand-Collaboration

Creators can apply to join TikTok One where the service has launched, provided they meet the applicable age and policy requirements. TikTok’s creator signup guidance says applicants must be at least 18, live in a launched country or region and comply with its Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy; participation in projects then requires at least 1,000 followers plus conditions that vary by project.

Marketplace enrollment is therefore not approval for every paid collaboration. TikTok’s general eligibility and access page separately lists an account in good standing, a minimum age of 18, at least 10,000 followers, 1,000 post views and three posts in the previous 30 days, while stating that age and follower requirements may differ by region.

Two eligibility decisions happen at different stages

Stage one is access to TikTok One and Creator Marketplace. TikTok evaluates whether the service is available in your region and whether your account satisfies the applicable age, standing, audience and recent-activity checks. The result presented inside your account is more useful than treating a threshold found on a general page as a universal rule.

Stage two is participation in a particular project. A creator who has entered the marketplace may still be unable to apply for an opportunity because projects carry their own requirements. Those requirements can differ between campaigns and can change, so admission to Creator Marketplace should not be interpreted as automatic approval for paid work.

The official pages describe different scopes rather than one simple universal threshold. One sets out broad creator enrollment conditions and a project-participation floor; the other presents a fuller eligibility set and expressly allows regional variation. Read both together, then rely on the eligibility result and project terms displayed for your account.

A two-stage eligibility reference

TikTok One eligibility is divided into platform-access checks and separate requirements for an individual brand project.

Use this matrix to identify which questions belong to marketplace access and which must be checked again for a particular brand opportunity.

  • Region — marketplace access: TikTok One must have launched in your country or region. Project participation: an opportunity may target particular markets, languages or audiences.
  • Age — marketplace access: the creator signup page sets a minimum age, while the general support page warns that the applicable requirement can vary by region. Project participation: a campaign may impose additional restrictions associated with its market or product category.
  • Account standing — marketplace access: the account must satisfy TikTok’s policy and standing checks. Project participation: the creator and submitted content must still comply with the project terms and relevant platform policies.
  • Followers — marketplace access: the general support criteria include a follower threshold that can vary by region. Project participation: TikTok publishes a lower project floor but says other project requirements vary and may change.
  • Recent views and posts — marketplace access: TikTok’s general criteria include activity within a rolling 30-day period. Project participation: the opportunity may present further audience-fit or performance conditions.
  • Deliverables — marketplace access: joining does not itself commit you to a campaign. Project participation: you must assess the requested format, schedule, compensation and other terms before accepting.

This separation prevents two common errors: assuming that clearing the project floor guarantees marketplace admission, or assuming that a region-dependent marketplace figure excludes every smaller creator from every TikTok One route.

How to interpret the different follower figures

Do not select one published figure and discard the other. They appear on official pages addressing different stages: the general support page describes eligibility to join, whereas the creator signup page separately describes the minimum for participating in projects after registration.

A practical reading is hierarchical. First, determine whether TikTok makes Creator Marketplace available to your account and whether you pass its enrollment check. Then open the individual opportunity and compare your profile with the conditions stated for that project.

Consider the conditional example of a creator whose following sits between the two published figures. The lower project floor alone cannot establish that the account will pass the marketplace check, while the higher general figure should not be treated as proof of a universal rule where TikTok itself warns of regional variation. The creator should use the in-app check and then inspect each project separately.

Do not try to infer eligibility from follower count alone. Region, age, account standing and recent activity can affect the marketplace decision, while project participation can introduce a different set of audience, content or campaign conditions.

Where to find Creator Marketplace in the app

The in-app path leads through TikTok Studio and Monetization to the Creator Marketplace eligibility check.

For an account-specific answer, use TikTok’s in-app eligibility flow:

  1. Open TikTok and tap Profile at the bottom.
  2. Tap the Menu button at the top, then select TikTok Studio.
  3. Open the Monetization tab and tap Creator Marketplace. You may need to scroll across or choose View all.
  4. Tap Check eligibility.
  5. If the account is marked eligible, tap Join and complete the prompts.

TikTok also documents other creator entrances: searching for TikTok One in the app, following its signup link or QR code, and joining through an agency invitation link. These are alternative routes into the signup process, not ways to bypass its eligibility checks.

If Creator Marketplace is not visible, first confirm that you are looking in TikTok Studio’s Monetization area. The absence of the option does not establish one specific cause; availability or account-specific conditions may be involved, so avoid changing location details or paying a third party to promise access.

Prepare your account before applying

Passing the eligibility check establishes access, but a brand still needs enough accurate information to judge whether your work and audience fit its project. Prepare the account before responding to opportunities.

  • Verify account information: make sure your age and region details are accurate and that you retain access to the account’s contact method.
  • Review account standing: read active notices and use TikTok’s available appeal or support process if you believe a decision is incorrect.
  • Check recent activity: compare your account’s rolling activity with the requirements displayed in the eligibility flow rather than relying on lifetime totals.
  • Clarify your subject: make your content focus understandable from the profile and recent public posts.
  • Complete marketplace fields: after registration, add accurate starting rates, contact information, languages and industries where those fields are available.
  • Audit public work: confirm that recent posts represent the formats, subjects and production standard you are prepared to offer commercially.
  • Set a rate floor: estimate the minimum compensation that covers production, revisions, administration and any requested usage before accepting a project.

Do not overstate audience attributes, experience or industry expertise. A narrower but coherent profile gives a brand a clearer basis for evaluating fit than a broad profile unsupported by the creator’s public work.

Evaluate each project before committing

Open the complete project details before agreeing to produce anything. Technical eligibility answers whether you may participate; the brief and commercial terms determine whether you should.

Check the required market, language, audience profile, content format and publishing window. Then review deliverables, compensation, payment conditions, approval steps, revision expectations and any stated usage or advertising rights. Ask for clarification through the available project communication flow when a material term is unclear.

Assess audience fit separately from account eligibility. A project can be open to your account but still conflict with your viewers’ interests, your normal subject matter or the format in which you work effectively. Selective applications conserve production time and make your collaboration profile more coherent.

An invitation should also be distinguished from a completed agreement. Confirm what stage the project has reached, what has been accepted and what conditions trigger payment before treating an invitation as booked work.

What the brand-collaboration workflow includes

The Creator Marketplace overview presents a brand-side sequence of searching for creators, inviting them to collaborate and viewing insights, supported by creator-discovery, campaign-management and reporting tools.

For creators, those stages explain why profile quality matters after admission. Your subject and public work affect discovery, project rules determine whether a collaboration can proceed, and your response to the brief affects production and review.

Before accepting a project, retain the version of its requirements and terms available to you. Organize briefs, production files, approvals and requested revisions by project so that conditions from one campaign are not mistakenly applied to another.

Commercial work must also be presented as commercial work. Follow the disclosure setting and other policy requirements presented for the deliverable instead of attempting to disguise sponsorship as an ordinary recommendation.

If TikTok marks the account ineligible

Start with the reason displayed for your account rather than a generic audience target found elsewhere. The appropriate response depends on whether the failed condition concerns availability, age, account standing, followers, views or posting activity.

  • If regional availability is the issue, do not submit inaccurate location information to circumvent the restriction.
  • If recent activity is the issue, adopt a sustainable publishing schedule and recheck after the rolling measurement window changes.
  • If the follower requirement is the issue, use the threshold displayed for your account and distinguish it from the conditions on individual projects.
  • If account standing is the issue, review the relevant notice and use TikTok’s official support or appeal route when appropriate.
  • If you can enter Creator Marketplace but cannot join one opportunity, treat that result as project-specific and evaluate other available projects.

An agency invitation is a documented entrance to signup, but it does not establish that an agency can override TikTok’s availability, policy or project checks. Avoid services that promise guaranteed admission or selection.

Run the account check, then assess the opportunity

Open Profile → Menu → TikTok Studio → Monetization → Creator Marketplace → Check eligibility. Record the conditions shown for your account, complete the marketplace profile if admitted and assess every paid opportunity against its separate requirements and commercial terms.

If the account does not qualify, focus on the displayed condition that you can legitimately change, such as recent activity or profile completeness. Recheck through TikTok instead of treating either published follower figure as a universal promise of access.
