HOW TO DELETE YOUR QUASA ACCOUNT

Last updated: 31 August 2026
You may request deletion of:
- your QUASA website account;
- your Quasa Connect App account;
- all QUASA accounts associated with your email address; or
- specific Personal Data without closing your account.
Deleting the Quasa Connect App from your device does not delete your account or the data associated with it. You must submit an account-deletion request using one of the methods described below.
Important: Account deletion is permanent. After the deletion process has been completed, you will lose access to the account and its features, and restoring deleted data may no longer be possible.
1. Before deleting your account
Before submitting a deletion request, we recommend that you:
- complete or cancel active Quasa Connect tasks;
- resolve any open disputes with other Users;
- review ongoing advertising campaigns and published Projects;
- pay any outstanding fees or amounts due;
- withdraw any QUA balance or rewards currently eligible for withdrawal;
- download any invoices, messages, reports or transaction records you may need;
- review your connected blockchain wallets; and
- save any other information you may need in the future.
Deleting your account does not automatically:
- withdraw your QUA balance;
- refund payments;
- cancel completed transactions;
- cancel public blockchain transactions;
- terminate a contract between a Client and a Pro; or
- remove information that QUASA must retain under applicable law.
2. Deleting your account through the Quasa Connect App
To submit an account-deletion request through the App:
- open the Quasa Connect App;
- sign in to the account you want to delete;
- open Profile;
- go to Settings;
- select Account;
- select Delete Account;
- review the consequences of deletion;
- select which account or accounts you want to delete; and
- confirm your request using the verification method presented in the App.
QUASA may send a verification message to the email address associated with your account before processing the request.
3. Deleting your account without access to the App
You may submit an account-deletion request through our web form. You do not need to install or open the Quasa Connect App to use this method.
SUBMIT AN ACCOUNT-DELETION REQUEST
The form should be available through a standard web browser without requiring the User to sign in to the App.
In the form, select one of the following options:
- delete only my QUASA website account;
- delete only my Quasa Connect App account;
- delete all QUASA accounts associated with me; or
- delete specific Personal Data without closing my account.
You may also submit a request through QUASA Support:
or by email:
4. Information required to process your request
To help us identify your account and process your request, please provide:
- your name;
- the email address associated with the account;
- your username or account identifier, if known;
- whether your request concerns the Site, the App or all QUASA services;
- the public address of a connected wallet, where necessary to identify the account;
- a brief description of your request; and
- an alternative contact email address if you no longer have access to the email address associated with the account.
You are not required to provide a reason for deleting your account.
Do not send us:
- your account password;
- your complete payment-card number;
- your wallet private key;
- your seed phrase or wallet recovery phrase;
- a two-factor authentication code; or
- an unnecessary copy of an identity document.
QUASA will never ask you to disclose your wallet private key or recovery phrase.
5. Identity verification
Before deleting an account, we may need to verify that the request was submitted by the account owner or an authorised representative.
Verification may include:
- selecting a verification link sent to the account email address;
- entering a verification code;
- confirming the request through an authenticated account;
- providing a cryptographic signature from a connected wallet; or
- providing limited additional information relating to the account.
We will request only the information reasonably necessary to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.
If you no longer have access to your email address or account, state this in your request. QUASA Support will explain which alternative verification methods may be available.
6. What happens after you submit a request
After receiving your account-deletion request, QUASA will normally:
- confirm receipt of the request;
- verify that you are authorised to make the request;
- determine which accounts and services are covered;
- review whether there are active tasks, campaigns, payments, disputes or remaining balances;
- inform you of any actions that must be completed before deletion;
- close or restrict access to the relevant account;
- delete or anonymise associated Personal Data where no lawful reason for continued retention applies; and
- notify you of the result.
If we cannot fully complete your request, we will explain, where required:
- which information must be retained;
- why it must be retained;
- how long it may be retained; and
- which complaint or appeal rights may be available to you.
7. Data that is normally deleted
Where no other lawful basis for retention applies, QUASA will delete or irreversibly anonymise information such as:
- core account information;
- contact information;
- login and authentication information;
- account preferences;
- notification preferences;
- selected interests;
- non-public profile information;
- the internal association between your account and a connected wallet;
- App data that is no longer required;
- optional marketing identifiers;
- optional analytics identifiers; and
- other Personal Data that is no longer necessary.
Your public profile will be deactivated and will no longer be available for normal use of the Platform.
Where historical records must be retained, your name or account identifier may be removed, replaced or anonymised where this can be done without violating legal, contractual, accounting, security or technical requirements.
8. Data that may be retained
The right to deletion is not absolute. QUASA may be required or permitted to retain limited information for purposes including:
- accounting and tax obligations;
- confirmation of payments and refunds;
- completion of an open transaction;
- management of an unresolved dispute;
- fraud prevention;
- Platform and account security;
- sanctions, identity-verification or compliance obligations;
- compliance with a court order or authority request;
- establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
- retention of moderation records;
- evidence of consent or withdrawal from marketing;
- performance of obligations relating to previously ordered advertising;
- protection of editorial archives and freedom of information; or
- compliance with another applicable legal obligation.
More information about the categories of information we process and applicable retention periods is available in the QUASA Privacy Policy.
9. Active tasks, campaigns, transactions and disputes
The presence of active operations may affect when and how an account can be deleted.
Relevant operations may include:
- an unfinished Quasa Connect task;
- an active agreement between a Client and a Pro;
- funds held in escrow;
- an open dispute;
- a pending payment;
- a refund request;
- an ongoing advertising campaign;
- a published Project;
- an outstanding payment obligation;
- an investigation into suspected fraud or a violation of the Terms of Use.
QUASA may initially restrict access to certain features and complete the necessary administrative, financial or compliance steps before permanently closing the account.
Deleting your account does not automatically terminate a contract between a Client and a Pro or cancel payment obligations that have already arisen.
10. QUA balance and rewards
Before requesting deletion, review your available balance and, where withdrawals are supported, withdraw eligible QUA to a compatible external wallet.
Please note:
- account deletion is not a withdrawal instruction;
- pending rewards may not yet be available for withdrawal;
- promotional credits may not be withdrawable;
- identity or wallet verification may be required;
- blockchain-network fees may apply;
- you are responsible for checking the wallet address, blockchain network and token contract; and
- a transfer to an incorrect or incompatible address may be irreversible.
If an available balance remains in your account, mention this in your deletion request. QUASA Support will explain the available next steps.
QUASA does not guarantee recovery of assets transferred to an incorrect, unsupported or inaccessible wallet address.
11. Blockchain transactions
Deleting your QUASA account does not delete transactions that have already been recorded on a public blockchain.
Public blockchain records may permanently contain:
- a public wallet address;
- a transaction hash;
- the transaction amount;
- the date and time;
- token information;
- network-fee information; and
- interactions with a smart contract.
Public blockchains are maintained by independent nodes and network participants. QUASA does not have the technical ability to delete or alter a confirmed public blockchain transaction.
Where legally and technically possible, QUASA may delete or restrict the internal association between your QUASA account and a public wallet address.
12. Messages, ratings and data held by other Users
Certain messages and transaction records may remain in another User’s account where they are necessary for:
- documenting a contract;
- performing a task;
- resolving a dispute;
- maintaining payment or accounting records;
- preventing fraud; or
- establishing or defending legal claims.
Where appropriate, information associated with a deleted account may be displayed in anonymised form, for example as “Deleted User.”
Ratings and reviews may be deleted, anonymised or retained depending on:
- whether they relate to a genuine transaction;
- the need to protect other Users;
- legal or contractual requirements;
- the integrity of the rating system;
- freedom of expression; and
- applicable law.
Deleting an account does not automatically delete copies of communications that another User is independently required or entitled to retain.
13. Public publications, advertising and Projects
Deleting an account does not always result in the automatic removal of:
- previously published articles;
- author pages;
- interviews;
- editorial materials;
- sponsored publications;
- Project pages;
- advertisements published under a separate order; or
- content republished by third parties.
QUASA will assess a request to delete or anonymise this type of content separately, taking into account:
- the applicable publication terms;
- public interest;
- freedom of expression and information;
- the rights of other persons;
- contractual obligations;
- editorial and archival requirements; and
- applicable law.
Copies stored by search engines, archives, social networks or other third parties are not under QUASA’s direct control.
14. Backups and anonymised information
After Personal Data has been deleted from active systems, limited copies may temporarily remain in protected backups until they are overwritten under QUASA’s backup schedule.
Backup copies:
- are not used for ordinary account operations;
- are not routinely accessed;
- are restored only where technically necessary, such as during recovery from an incident;
- remain protected against ordinary access; and
- are deleted or overwritten according to the applicable backup cycle.
If information is restored from a backup, previously approved deletion requests should be reapplied where technically possible.
QUASA may retain aggregated or irreversibly anonymised statistical information that no longer identifies you.
15. How long the deletion process takes
We process deletion requests without undue delay.
Where the GDPR applies, QUASA will normally respond to a valid request within one month after receiving the request and completing any reasonably necessary identity verification.
In complex cases, or where QUASA receives a large number of requests, the response period may be extended by up to two additional months. If an extension is required, we will inform you within the initial one-month period and explain the reason.
Deletion of information from active systems may be completed before relevant backup copies are overwritten.
The time required to resolve active tasks, payments, campaigns, disputes or compliance reviews may affect when final account closure can be completed.
16. Deleting specific data without closing your account
You may request deletion or modification of specific Personal Data without closing your entire account.
Depending on the circumstances, you may request:
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of a particular item;
- removal of a profile photograph;
- removal of portfolio content;
- deactivation of a public profile;
- removal of a public task;
- disconnection of a wallet from your account;
- restriction of certain Processing;
- withdrawal of location permission;
- withdrawal from marketing;
- deletion of eligible advertising identifiers; or
- a copy of your Personal Data.
In your request, clearly identify the information or feature concerned.
Some data cannot be deleted while it remains necessary to provide an active feature you have requested. In that case, you may need to stop using the feature or close the relevant service.
17. You do not need to delete your account to stop marketing
Deleting your account is not necessary to stop receiving marketing communications.
You may:
- select “Unsubscribe” in a marketing email;
- disable marketing push notifications in the App or device settings;
- change your cookie and advertising preferences;
- update available communication settings; or
- contact QUASA Support.
After you opt out of marketing, QUASA may continue to send operational communications concerning:
- account security;
- payments;
- tasks;
- rewards;
- moderation decisions;
- changes to legal terms;
- privacy requests; and
- other matters necessary to administer the service.
A minimal suppression record may be retained to ensure that your marketing opt-out continues to be respected.
18. Cancelling an account-deletion request
If you change your mind, contact QUASA Support as soon as possible.
We will attempt to cancel the request if final deletion has not yet been completed.
Once an account and its eligible data have been permanently deleted, restoring the account or data may no longer be possible.
Cancellation of a deletion request does not guarantee restoration of a feature or item that has already been permanently removed.
