QUASA Conducts One of 2026’s Largest QUA Token Buybacks, Removing 1,831,261 Tokens from Circulation

In September and October 2026, the QUASA team executed one of the year’s largest token buybacks, acquiring and permanently removing 1,831,261 QUA tokens from circulation. This operation continues a consistent program of strategic purchases and supply reductions that has defined the project’s approach throughout 2026 and across multiple prior years.
Since the start of 2026, QUASA has regularly acquired and withdrawn more than 11 million QUA tokens from the market. These cumulative actions have produced a sharp contraction in the amount of QUA readily available on cryptocurrency exchanges and have coincided with nearly 10X price appreciation of the token since the beginning of the year. Earlier in the year, individual monthly or multi-month buybacks (including a particularly large March operation exceeding 5.7 million tokens and subsequent purchases in May, June, and July - August) had already reduced self-reported circulating supply to the mid-65 million range by late summer, according to project updates.
Circulating Supply

1. Circulating Supply - 63,822,797 QUA
(Circulating supply = Personal wallets + Exchanges + Lost)
- Personal Wallets - 42,883,444 QUA
- Exchanges - 939,353 QUA
- Lost/Inaccessible ~ 20,000,000 QUA (Including 4,920,656 QUA burned in the accounts of two centralized closed exchanges.)
2. Team Reserves - 56,730,421 QUA
The team’s stated objective has remained unchanged: to generate genuine scarcity and thereby support the value of the tokens held by the community and long-term investors. By systematically removing tokens from active trading venues, QUASA seeks to establish a deflationary environment that rewards holders who maintain their positions over time rather than those focused on short-term speculation.
This approach is not new. Across more than five years of operations, QUASA has conducted repeated buybacks and removals of tokens from economically available supply (often through transfers to a designated burn/dead address). Combined with an explicit policy of progressive supply reduction, the project has positioned QUA as a deflationary crypto-asset - a characteristic still uncommon among the majority of tokens, most of which feature ongoing inflationary emissions or large unlock schedules.
The latest September - October operation fits the established pattern of opportunistic execution. The buyback program is structured to take advantage of periods of lower prices, aligning supply contraction with prevailing market conditions rather than attempting continuous price support regardless of liquidity or sentiment. Earlier 2026 actions followed a similar logic, with larger purchases occurring when prices were relatively subdued.
Beyond the mechanics of supply reduction, QUASA continues to emphasize the role of real utility. The ecosystem includes fully operational multilingual products spanning technology media, digital product discovery and promotion, rewards programs, and a marketplace connecting clients with independent professionals (Quasa Connect). QUA has defined uses within selected functions of these products - such as eligible rewards, project review fees, PPC campaign funding, and certain marketplace or platform activities—though it is not required for every feature. Project communications repeatedly highlight that the combination of ongoing supply reduction and expanding real-world utility is what makes the token increasingly relevant for investors focused on long-term fundamentals rather than pure narrative.
In summary, the September–October 2026 buyback of 1,831,261 QUA tokens represents a substantial continuation of a multi-year strategy. Through strategic market withdrawals, persistent deflationary mechanisms, growth in decentralized liquidity venues, and the development of functioning multilingual products, QUASA is working to build a foundation intended to support sustainable, longer-term outcomes for the token and its holders. As with any crypto-asset, outcomes remain subject to market forces, liquidity conditions, and execution of the broader ecosystem roadmap; the project itself has consistently presented its buyback activity as a scarcity-oriented policy rather than a guarantee of price performance.
