Gamma Imagine Makes Social Graphics Fast—but Exports Still Need Checking

Gamma Imagine can turn a structured prompt into a branded social graphic quickly, then refine the selected result with targeted edits. The efficient workflow is to set the format and brand constraints before generation, limit revision rounds, and use version history instead of repeatedly repairing a weak result.

The finished graphic is not automatically publication-ready. Check its wording, accessibility, dimensions, and brand details on the canvas, then inspect the delivered asset in the platform or file where people will actually see it—especially when it passes through a Gamma presentation, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.

1. Define the deliverable before generating

From the Gamma dashboard, choose Create and then Create graphics. Imagine supports social posts alongside infographics, posters, diagrams, logos, invitations, calendars, and other assets. Gamma introduced the product for prompt-generated brand-specific materials including social graphics, marketing collateral, charts, and infographics, as TechCrunch’s launch report explains.

Write the brief before opening the generator. A reproducible prompt should identify:

  • Asset and destination: for example, a square post for a newsletter launch.
  • Audience and purpose: who should understand or act on the message.
  • Content hierarchy: the primary message, supporting detail, and call to action.
  • Visual direction: the subject, setting, tone, and elements to exclude.
  • Delivery constraints: aspect ratio and clear space around essential content.

Gamma’s official Imagine instructions recommend specifying content, tone, and purpose; they also document square, portrait, and landscape ratios, optional reference images, saved themes, and as many as three variations per generation. Request several variations when the concept is still open, but use one tightly specified option when conserving credits matters.

2. Apply the brand system at setup

A saved Gamma theme and reference image guide an on-brand social graphic whose typography and wording are checked.

Select a saved Gamma theme before generation so its colors and typography can influence the result. Add a reference image when a visual quality—such as composition density or the balance between imagery and type—is easier to show than describe.

A theme guides generation; it does not certify brand compliance. Compare the selected result with the real brand specification, including color values, permitted logo treatment, type hierarchy, spacing, and imagery rules. Check every generated name, date, price, URL, and call to action character by character.

Reference images work best when their role is explicit. State whether the reference supplies composition, mood, subject treatment, or another specific quality; unrelated examples can pull the result in competing directions.

3. Control credits and recover earlier versions

Choose the variation with the clearest information hierarchy, then make narrow edits. Imagine provides freeform editing, cropping, resizing, erasing, restyling, and additional generation, while both generation and AI editing consume Gamma credits.

Set a revision budget before a batch: for example, one generation round, one structural correction, and one cleanup pass for a routine post. This is an editorial checkpoint rather than a Gamma limit; the number of operations needed depends on the brief and the quality of each result. Check the workspace’s displayed credit balance and plan conditions before producing several assets.

Each edit creates a new version, and Gamma automatically saves graphics and their edit sessions. Return to the last sound version when a broad restyle damages wording, hierarchy, or brand treatment instead of spending more credits on a degraded branch. Record the approved state with a clear campaign, format, and copy-status label outside the graphic itself.

4. Inspect content and accessibility at delivery size

Review the graphic at approximately the size viewers will encounter it. Text that is comfortable on a large canvas may become unreadable in a mobile feed. Check contrast, practical type size, edge clearance, and whether the main message survives when small decorative details disappear.

Do not leave essential information only inside the graphic. Repeat dates, offers, links, and calls to action in the accompanying post, and provide platform-native alternative text where supported. Useful alt text communicates the asset’s purpose and essential message rather than cataloguing every decorative element.

Inspect generated people, hands, products, logos, charts, and factual labels as separate risk areas. If the design contains data, compare every value, unit, and category with the supplied material; a polished layout does not validate its contents.

5. Verify the asset after handoff

A Gamma-created social graphic is checked after export for cropping, text rendering, spacing, and publishing readiness.

Choose the handoff format according to what happens next. A flat image is suitable when appearance must be preserved and no recipient needs to move individual elements. Do not assume that a generated visual will become a layered design file with independently editable text, shapes, or brand components.

An Imagine graphic can be added to a Gamma document as an image. If that document or presentation is then exported, Gamma offers PDF, PNG, and PPTX; its export documentation says output follows Present Mode and identifies possible differences in gradients, frosted effects, italic text, and fonts. Gamma embeds theme fonts in PPTX files, but embedding can occasionally fail, and Google Slides substitutes its own fonts when it opens an uploaded PowerPoint file.

A broader hands-on Gamma review likewise describes fast first drafts but reports flattening, text shifts, and font substitution in PowerPoint exports. Those observations concern Gamma deck exports generally, not proof that every standalone Imagine graphic will change, but they support checking any Gamma-to-PPTX workflow.

Open the delivered file in the actual destination and compare dimensions, cropping, text, color, transparency, file size, and required editability with the approved state. For social publishing, inspect a private mobile preview; for a presentation handoff, open the PPTX in the recipient’s application. Imagine accelerates graphic creation, while this separate verification determines whether the result is ready to publish.
