On July 30, 2015, the first block of Ethereum’s mainnet was generated, marking the birth of a blockchain that would redefine decentralized technology. Today, as Ethereum celebrates its 10th anniversary, the global community reflects on its transformative journey and looks forward to a new decade of innovation.

To mark this milestone, over 100 events are planned worldwide. The Ethereum Foundation has encouraged users to join local gatherings to “help Ethereum enter its next decade.” These events, ranging from meetups to technical workshops, aim to unite enthusiasts, developers, and newcomers in celebrating the platform’s impact.

Adding to the festivities, the Ethereum Foundation will release commemorative NFTs, available starting July 31. These digital collectibles will serve as a tribute to Ethereum’s legacy and its vibrant community.

A highlight of the anniversary is a global livestream scheduled for today, July 30, 2025. The broadcast will feature reflections on Ethereum’s history and discussions about its future. Key speakers include co-founder Vitalik Buterin, ConsenSys founder Joseph Lubin, Ethereum researcher Tim Beiko, and other prominent developers from around the world. The stream will offer insights into Ethereum’s evolution—from its groundbreaking smart contract functionality to its recent advancements in scalability and sustainability — and outline ambitions for the next 10 years.
