Elon Musk has announced on his social media platform X that the Grok Imagine service, designed for generating images and videos, is now free for all users worldwide.
This promotion applies to the Grok app on both iOS and Android, removing the paid subscription requirement that has been in place since the tool’s launch in April.

This move comes on the heels of xAI’s recent decision to open access to its language model, Grok 4.
While Musk did not specify the duration of the free period, he indicated that free users will face a limit on daily requests.
The initiative reflects xAI’s strategy to broaden the tool’s user base, though the exact timeline and potential return to a paywall remain unclear.
