Get ready for an action-packed week of streaming releases- click the titles for trailers as always. Below, I’ve detailed the series and films I’m personally excited about, followed by a quick rundown of the rest. Let’s dive in!

The Lowdown, Season 1 (FX, 8 episodes, starting September 23)
A noir drama from *Reservation Dogs* creator Sterlin Harjo, featuring Ethan Hawke, Peter Dinklage, and Kyle MacLachlan. Hawke plays Lee Raybon, a Tulsa bookseller investigating the mysterious death of a powerful political family’s son, plunging him into a web of corruption that threatens his ties with his ex-wife and daughter.

Slow Horses, Season 5 (Apple TV+, 6 episodes, starting September 24)
The fifth season of this spy thriller about misfit agents sees the Slough House team grappling with terrorist attacks that cast suspicion over the entire department. As Lamb and Taverner unravel a conspiracy threatening London, internal betrayals and trust issues intensify.

The Hack, Miniseries (ITV, 7 episodes, starting September 24)
A drama from the creators of *Mr Bates vs The Post Office*, based on the real phone-hacking scandal. Journalist Nick Davies (David Tennant) uncovers evidence of breaches at *News of the World*, while a detective (Robert Carlyle) probes a related private investigator’s murder.

The Savant, Miniseries (Apple TV+, 8 episodes, starting September 26)
A thriller starring Jessica Chastain, inspired by true events. Jody, an unassuming woman, secretly operates as the “Savant,” infiltrating online hate groups to identify potential extremists before they strike.

Alice in Borderland, Season 3 (Netflix, 6 episodes, all episodes September 25)
This Japanese sci-fi series—my pick for a healthier *Squid Game*—follows survivors in a deadly parallel world. After returning to reality and marrying, Arisu must re-enter the Borderland when Usagi is abducted by a mysterious afterlife researcher.

House of Guinness, Season 1 (Netflix, 8 episodes, all episodes September 25)
Steven Knight (*Peaky Blinders*) crafts this historical drama about the iconic Irish brewing dynasty. Following Sir Benjamin Guinness’s death in the 1870s, his children - Arthur, Edward, Anna, and Ben - battle for control of the family empire across Dublin and New York.

Cat's Eye, Season 1 (Disney+, 12 episodes, starting September 26)
A fresh anime adaptation of Tsukasa Hojo’s manga about three sister-thieves. By day, Hitomi, Rui, and Ai run a café; by night, they steal art as “Cat’s Eye,” leaving clues to find their missing artist father.

English Teacher, Season 2 (FX/Hulu, 10 episodes, starting September 25)
This sitcom follows an English teacher navigating the modern U.S. education system. In Season 2, Evan Marques tackles “political minefields” at high school, addressing climate change, COVID, and student phone use.

All of You, Film (Apple TV+, September 25)
A sci-fi romantic drama by Brett Goldstein (*Ted Lasso*). In the near future, best friends Simon (Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots) harbor unspoken feelings, tested when an algorithm matches one with a “perfect partner.” Jenna Coleman, Zawe Ashton, and Steven Cree round out the cast.
