To be successful, in any field, you need to keep an eye on the available opportunities and keep yourself prepared to make the most of them.

The first step is to update your academics and, now that you are nearing your convocation, it is the best time to think about it. Below, we have rounded up a list of post-graduation courses you can consider.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management

Day by day, more and more universities and colleges are offering PGDM Courses because they have several advantages over standard MBA. When compared to your old school MBA, PGDM Courses are more updated, as autonomous colleges are not affiliated to any universities, so they have the flexibility to update the syllabus. This is one big reason why more and more corporate companies are interested in hiring PGDM students.

You probably have considered pursuing an MBA because of the value it holds in the corporate world. It is expensive, both in terms of money and time. First, you need to spend at least one year to prepare for entrance exams and the cost involved to complete the course is also comparatively very high. Most colleges offer a specialization in Finance, Marketing, HR, in a span of over 2 years. You get a chance to get placed just after the MBA, making life a lot easier.

M Tech

Unlike the above two, not everyone is eligible for an MTech degree. Only BTech and BE Grads are eligible. It is a 2-year program and once your course is completed, you might straight get into the corporates, or consider pursuing MBA. But pursue MTech if you have sheer love for your subject because it is real-time hard work.

Another Management degree, but slightly different from the ones mentioned above. It is a one-year program, for the ones who can spend a high amount but have a short time span. Corporates are interested in PGPM Grads, as it brings variety to your portfolio. PGPM is more like a certificate course than a degree course.

Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management and Activation, can prove to be an asset in your portfolio if you are not interested in a regular management degree. As the name suggests, you will be getting yourself into the world of Event Management. After the course, you can consider joining an existing event management company, and learn on the job, or start your own venture. This world is more exciting, unlike your regular 9-5.

Post Graduate in Hotel Management

A lot of people think that they need to have a bachelor’s in hotel management to pursue their passion, but no, graduates from any field can add spice to their life and work by pursuing a Post Grad in Hotel Management. As the name suggests, you will be going under basic cutlery training, with further hospitality and Management. A one-year program, with internships to learn the ropes – it’s definitely one of the best job courses out there!

PGDM in Digital Marketing

There cannot be a better time than now to consider a career in digital marketing. More and more people are pursuing digital marketing courses especially because of the endless number of opportunities. Graduates from any field and discipline are eligible to continue with this, and the course duration varies from one to two years.

PGDM in International Business

PGDM in International Business involves you learning about the progressive world economy, global markets, and many regions of the world. Further, it will be great and highly recommended if you have a thing for global economics. The faculty aims for the students to develop a specialization in consideration to global economics, and international business, along with other relevant characteristics.  Again a 2-year diploma course, with a variety of other eligibility criteria you need to look upon before going ahead with the same.
