AI Generates Nightmarish Celebrity Couples, Leaving Public Aghast

I'm roughly 50 percent certain that the push for more AI was just to concoct the weirdest celebrity pairings imaginable.

Sure, artificial intelligence has countless practical applications in today's world, but as we explore those, we might as well enjoy some of the more unsettling creations.

A video has taken social media by storm, and it's downright eerie. We're not dealing with deep-sea monsters or other Lovecraftian nightmares here, but rather celebrities and public figures you'd never imagine as a couple, bizarrely paired up.

They look happy at least?

The video, which was posted on X on January 3, features some of the most bizarre celebrity couplings, like Kim Jong Un with Taylor Swift and Greta Thunberg with Vladimir Putin.

On the slightly less disturbing but still surreal side, you have Rihanna matched with Joe Biden, and ex-UK PM Boris Johnson paired with Cardi B.

As for Pope Francis and Kim Kardashian as a couple, I'm at a loss for words.

Social media users were quick to share their reactions.

One user commented: "This is both hilarious and horrifying."

Another user chimed in with, "Putin x Greta is the worst thing I've seen in a while. Bleach to my eyes!"

A third simply stated, "This is cursed."

And another user exclaimed, "And just like that, I’ve reached my 'ewww' threshold for the day."

A fifth person remarked, "Well, you did it. You've grossed out the entire internet. Congrats."

Although it might seem like harmless fun, some experts caution that artificial intelligence could have negative consequences for humanity.

Many noted how disturbingly realistic the video appeared.

Dr. Geoffrey Hinton, a cognitive psychologist and computer scientist who has worked at Google, has recently discussed the potential perils of AI.

In an interview on BBC Radio 4's Today program, Dr. Hinton stated, "You see, we've never had to deal with entities more intelligent than ourselves before.

"And how many instances can you think of where a less intelligent entity controls a more intelligent one? There are very few."

He went on to say, "I didn't expect us to be at this point now. I thought we'd arrive here at some point in the future.

"Because the current situation is that most experts in the field believe that within, probably, the next 20 years, we will develop AIs that surpass human intelligence.

"And that's a very scary thought.”
