Know a Business Well? A Data Referral Could Earn You $100,000

Consultants and fractional executives may already know the company whose operating history deserves an AI licensing review.

A familiar client can hold an overlooked opportunity.

You know why the client rebuilt its returns process. You remember the CRM migration. You know which manager can explain ten years of difficult customer cases.

That knowledge could open a conversation beyond your next consulting project.

SourceX rewards partners who introduce companies with suitable operating records for AI training and evaluation: refer a company, earn up to $100,000. The figure is a cumulative cap per qualifying company, with payment conditional on a completed transaction, actual supplier compensation and the program’s terms.

Look through your client list differently

Consider a software company whose support history explains how complex incidents were resolved. Or a services business whose project files connect a change request to the decision, revised work and accepted result.

You may already know which company kept that history and who can explain it. A contact database alone tells a different story from records showing how work happened.

SourceX’s starting criteria include at least 50 full-time employees at peak, several years of history, a supported location and rights to license the proposed records. Operating, acquired and wound-down businesses can qualify. A former owner may know the archive well while no longer controlling it.

Write down the company, its systems, the approximate years retained and the person authorized today. Those four details make a stronger first step than an unsupported estimate of dataset value.

Recognize the company before estimating its value.

Make the introduction easy to accept

Get your partner account approved and sign the required agreement before submitting an introduction. Then ask the company’s authorized leader if they would welcome it, and disclose that you could receive a reward.

A simple opening works: “You may have years of operating history that could fit an AI data licensing review. SourceX can check the company first without an upload. Would you like an introduction? I may be paid if a qualifying deal completes.”

Keep client records out of that note. Having files from an earlier engagement does not give you licensing authority. SourceX handles qualification, agreements and preparation for approved collections; the company approves what is included and released.

An introduction starts with context and permission.

Understand the reward before you quote it

The default rate is 25% of compensation SourceX actually pays the supplier, excluding separately itemized taxes and reimbursements. An illustrative $160,000 supplier payout earns a $40,000 referral reward. SourceX pays it separately, preserving the supplier’s agreed compensation.

Rewards are capped at $100,000 per company across qualifying installments and transactions. A lead, meeting or signed agreement alone earns no payable reward. Buyer acceptance, cleared payment, supplier payment, finance approval and your required payment details must be in place.

Earlier valid introductions and existing SourceX relationships can affect attribution. Signed agreements govern exceptions, and licensed professionals should check their own referral-fee rules.

Your reward follows actual supplier compensation.

Choose one company whose operations you understand and whose leadership trusts you. With its permission, introduce it through the SourceX referral program. You may already know the right business; the next step is a conversation.
