Meanwhile, Chinese companies like Alibaba Cloud with its Qwen model, Baidu, Tencent, and others are making significant strides, increasingly challenging Western labs in this space.
The open AI movement now transcends corporate giants, with thousands of independent developers sharing models, datasets, and adaptations like LoRA, sparking a grassroots revolution. This shift is reshaping the global AI landscape, with China and the U.S. strengthening their dominance, while Europe and other regions recede into the background.
