Moonvalley, a startup founded by former DeepMind researchers, has launched public access to its innovative video generation model, Marey. Trained exclusively on openly licensed data, Marey is positioned as a tool for “hybrid filmmaking,” offering filmmakers greater control compared to traditional text-to-video models.
The model stands out with its “3D space awareness” and the ability to freely manipulate a virtual camera. Users can adjust trajectories, pan, and zoom in real time with simple mouse movements. Additionally, Marey allows for dynamic control over objects, characters, and backgrounds within the original video, providing a versatile platform for creative editing.

This release marks a significant step forward in video generation technology, blending AI innovation with practical filmmaking applications.
