At the BUILD 2025 conference, Microsoft announced a significant step toward future-proofing data security in Windows 11 by integrating quantum-resistant encryption algorithms into its SymCrypt library, starting with version 27852.
This move addresses the looming threat of quantum computers, which, while still in development, could potentially undermine traditional encryption methods and jeopardize sensitive data worldwide.
