Meta Expands Smart Glasses Lineup with Oakley and Prada Partnerships

Meta is diversifying its smart glasses portfolio, building on the success of the Ray-Ban Meta line by introducing versions under the Oakley and Prada brands.
The Oakley edition, set to launch on June 20, 2025, targets active users and athletes. Ray-Ban Meta owners have already been using their glasses for recording activities like tennis and skiing, and Oakley’s inherent sportswear credentials make it a natural fit. Priced at approximately $360, the Oakley glasses offer enhanced weather resistance.

Since the release of the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta in 2023, 2 million pairs have been sold. Luxottica’s CEO aims to ramp up production to 10 million units by the end of 2026.
The expanded partnership between the companies, valued at $5 billion, grants Meta exclusive rights to Luxottica’s brands for smart glasses over the coming years, signaling a bold move to dominate the wearable tech market.
