Julia Fox skyrocketed to fame when her relationship with Kanye West, now known as Ye, came to light. However, far from being a dream come true, she considers this period one of her biggest regrets.
Already a well-known figure in New York for her distinctive fashion sense, wild partying, and unapologetic demeanor, Fox found herself under intense public and media scrutiny during her short-lived romance with the rapper and entrepreneur.
The actress, known for her role in "Uncut Gems," described her time with West as profoundly uncomfortable.

From a woman who spent five years as a dominatrix and sugar baby to a married Indian billionaire, this is a bold admission.
However, she explained to The Times why being with West was her worst relationship experience.
West had just emerged from a highly publicized and tumultuous split with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and was visibly spiraling, displaying erratic behavior.
Thus, when he and Fox became an item, it turned into a spectacle.
The mother of one child detailed this in her book "Down the Drain," where she refers to West as 'the artist'.
Her memoir was an attempt to dispel the myriad of false rumors about her and to clarify her narrative.
In the book, she recounts her brief time with the rapper.
She told the publication, “I regret that relationship so much. I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime. I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that's saying a lot. I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend.”
Their relationship occurred just before West faced cancellation for his antisemitic comments, at a time when Fox was also dealing with anger towards her ex-husband of just a few months, Peter Artemiev, who had left her and their child.
Fox and West were together for mere weeks
She later posted a picture of him on Instagram, captioning it, “Have you seen this deadbeat dad?”
As an act of revenge, she dated West, only to discover soon after that she was being used to retaliate against Kardashian.
She stated, “It wasn’t my idea for it to go public. If anything, I was like, ‘We should wait,’ and then boom, it was done behind my back. I realized pretty quickly I was being used as a pawn.”
Before they even met, she described how West would send a stylist to dress her in outfits he approved, and on one occasion, a photographer was there for one of their dates.
West then sent a photo of them kissing to an editor at Interview magazine, asking her to write about how they met.
He later rewrote her words because he didn't like what she had written, fabricating the whole story, which she told him sounded 'dumb'.
West reportedly trued to get her to sign an NDA
The couple never had sex; instead, they played Uno in a hotel room.
When West offered to pay for her to get a boob job, she refused and ended the relationship after he repeatedly pressured her to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
He texted her, “I can’t be friends with you if you don’t sign it.”
She responded, “I’ll live.”
She credited her son for being a 'grounding force' in her decision to end the relationship but expressed no ill will towards the rapper.
She remarked, “I’m not about to hold a grudge and make my life miserable because I’m still angry about something. At some point you have to forgive and move on, because you think you’re hurting the other person but you’re really just hurting yourself.”
