Florida Schools to Test Pepper Spray Drones Against Shooters

Three counties in Florida are gearing up to test a drone system aimed at neutralizing attackers, developed by Campus Guardian Angel.
These drones can be deployed within five seconds of an alarm and reach a shooter in just 15 seconds. Equipped with pepper spray pellets to disorient or slow down assailants, the drones can also break windows to distract and provide real-time video feeds to law enforcement.
The company’s CEO stated that if these tactics fail, the drones will “continue to ram” the attacker until police arrive. The initiative, funded with a $557,000 state grant, has raised serious ethical concerns about safety. Installation in schools is slated for this fall, with a full launch planned for January.
