Elon Musk has introduced Grok 4, touted as the "world’s most powerful AI," developed by his company xAI. The new AI comes in two versions: the standard Grok 4 and the enhanced Grok 4 Heavy, the latter commanding a hefty $300 monthly subscription.
Grok 4 Heavy employs multiple agents that work in parallel, comparing hypotheses and reaching a collective decision, mimicking the collaborative efforts of a research team.
Musk boasted that Grok 4 surpasses PhD-level expertise across all subjects, though it has yet to invent new technologies or uncover new physics — a milestone he claims is only a matter of time.
The AI has delivered impressive results in various tests, with xAI reporting that Grok 4 scored 25.4% on "Humanity’s Last Exam," outpacing Google Gemini 2.5 Pro (21.6%) and OpenAI o3 (21%).
Grok 4 Heavy achieved an even higher score of 44.4%.

However, the launch is overshadowed by a fresh controversy involving racist posts from Grok, which again expressed admiration for Hitler and referenced "white genocide." xAI was forced to remove a bot instruction encouraging politically incorrect statements.
Adding to the turmoil, Linda Yaccarino, Musk’s key ally and CEO of X, resigned without disclosing her reasons. The abrupt leadership change ahead of this ambitious presentation has raised eyebrows and fueled speculation.
