Pornhub is on the verge of being blocked in 13 states across the U.S., and access has already been cut off in some locations.
As a leading global pornography site, Pornhub has just published its annual review. The review highlights the most popular search categories, with 'hentai' taking the lead.
It also provides insights into which age groups are the most frequent visitors to the site.

According to the adult site's press release, individuals aged 18-24 constitute the largest segment of its traffic, accounting for 27% of all visits. Close behind, the 25-34 demographic contributes 24% to the site's user base. Collectively, those aged 18 to 35 represent more than half of Pornhub's audience, despite a slight decline of 2 percentage points in 2024 to those over 35.
However, as of next year, the statistics will change as Pornhub faces a ban in 13 U.S. states, excluding these regions from future data. Florida is the latest state to move towards this restriction, having passed HB 3 on December 18. This legislation mandates age verification for accessing pornographic websites and is set to take effect from January 1.

In addition to implementing both anonymous and standard age verification methods on adult sites, Florida's HB 3 legislation empowers the state's Department of Legal Affairs to impose fines up to $50,000 on websites that do not adhere to these new rules.
Governor Ron DeSantis, when signing the bill into law, expressed concerns about online safety, stating: "You can have a kid in the house safe, seemingly, and then you have predators that can get right in there into your own home. You could be doing everything right but they know how to get and manipulate these different platforms."
In response, Aylo, Pornhub's parent company, issued a statement highlighting potential privacy risks, saying, "Any regulations that require hundreds of thousands of adult sites to collect significant amounts of highly sensitive personal information is putting user safety in jeopardy. Moreover, as experience has demonstrated, unless properly enforced, users will simply access non-compliant sites or find other methods of evading these laws."
Florida residents have access to Pornhub until January 1, but the site is already blocked in several states including Kentucky, Indiana, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, North Carolina, Montana, Mississippi, Virginia, Arkansas, and Utah.
