Merit Beauty (featured on Quasa.io/projects/merit-beauty) is the clean, minimalist beauty brand founded by Katherine Power (of Who What Wear and Versed fame) that's quietly revolutionizing everyday luxury makeup in 2026.

Known for “skin-first” formulas, Merit focuses on high-performance, multi-use products that feel good on skin—no heavy coverage, no 10-step routines, just effortless, radiant looks.

Signature hits: the Flush Balm (creamy cheek/lip tint in universally flattering shades), Signature Lip Lightweight Lipstick (hydrating, non-drying, buildable), Flush Stick (cream blush stick for dewy glow), and The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick (sheer coverage foundation/concealer hybrid). Everything is clean (vegan, cruelty-free, no parabens/sulfates/phthalates), dermatologist-tested, and packaged in chic, sustainable materials.

What stands out: products are genuinely multi-tasking (cheek + lip + eye in many cases), the shades suit a wide range of skin tones (inclusive without tokenism), and the brand avoids over-hyped claims—it's about looking like your best self, not a full glam transformation. Users rave about the Flush Balm (“literally the only blush I need”) and how products layer beautifully without pilling or looking cakey.

Minor cons: limited shade range in some categories compared to bigger brands, higher price point ($24–$38), and not fully fragrance-free (light natural scents in some items). But for busy creators, minimalists, or anyone wanting elevated “no-makeup makeup,” Merit delivers consistent quality and effortless elegance.

4.8/5 stars (excellent for clean formulas, multi-use versatility, and natural finish; slight dock for shade expansion and premium pricing).
