That matters because it indicates the growth did not depend on a newly consolidated non-quantum business or another acquisition-related addition to revenue.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Still, the widening loss shows that commercialization has not yet caught up with Infleqtion’s spending. Higher operating expenses and stock-based compensation contributed to the increase, while continued investment in technical staff, facilities and technology development keeps the company in an expansion phase.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Both conclusions can be true at once: customer activity and recognized revenue advanced materially, but recurring operations remained unable to cover the cost base. The raised outlook strengthens the growth case without establishing a path to near-term operating profitability.\u003C/p>\u003Ch2>Liquidity supplies runway, not self-funding\u003C/h2>\u003Cp>Infleqtion ended the quarter with a substantial pool of cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash and available-for-sale securities, alongside no debt. That balance-sheet position gives the company capacity to continue research, product development and commercialization despite its operating losses.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>The liquidity measure is broader than unrestricted cash immediately available for any purpose. Restricted cash is subject to limitations, while securities may need to mature or be sold before they can be used for spending. The combined total is consequently useful as a measure of financial resources, but its components are not interchangeable.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>A funded balance sheet and a self-funding business describe different conditions. Existing liquidity reflects financing already obtained and assets currently held; self-funding requires ordinary operations to generate enough cash to pay continuing costs.
