Coatue and NVIDIA are returning shareholders, while Blackstone is adding equity exposure after supporting Firmus through debt. Jane Street adds another institutional investor to the company’s ownership mix.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Those roles are strategically distinct. Blackstone brings experience in financing capital-intensive infrastructure, Coatue is a technology investor, and NVIDIA supplies the computing platforms around which Firmus is developing its AI factories. The April transaction carried closing conditions, while the August financing is described as fully subscribed through commitments. Firmus has not supplied an updated figure for cumulative equity proceeds that have closed and been funded.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>The higher valuation expands the amount of capital Firmus can raise while selling a smaller proportion of the company than it would have at its earlier price. Equity can absorb development risk, support procurement and strengthen the balance sheet before individual projects produce revenue. A debt facility offers a larger source of potential borrowing, but its headline amount is financing capacity—not evidence that the entire facility has been drawn or spent.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Blackstone’s participation in both structures creates continuity between Firmus’s credit and shareholder financing. The available disclosures do not allocate project costs among equity, debt, customer commitments or other funding sources, so adding every headline amount would overstate the capital already deployed.\u003C/p>\u003Ch2>The deployment ambition now extends beyond Australia\u003C/h2>\u003Cp>Project Southgate remains the centre of Firmus’s Australian build-out, but the new equity explicitly supports a wider Asia-Pacific program. A larger shareholder-capital base can help the company pursue land, energy, equipment and construction commitments in several markets at once. Each site will still depend on permits, secured power, networking, hardware delivery, construction and commissioning.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>The clearest named project outside Australia is in Batam, Indonesia. Firmus’s \u003Ca href=\"https://firmus.co/newsroom/firmus-to-build-170-000-gpu-ai-factor-y-campus-with-nvidia-for-global-ai-natives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">June regional-compute partnership announcement\u003C/a> sets out a 360-megawatt campus being developed with DayOne, an agreement running through 2034, and planned support for up to 170,000 NVIDIA AI accelerators across 2027 and 2028.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Those figures describe the planned scale and delivery window, not capacity operating today. The regional strategy therefore increases both Firmus’s addressable market and its execution burden: more capital can support deposits, design work and procurement, but it cannot substitute for completed utility connections and commissioned halls.\u003C/p>\u003Ch2>Funding capacity has moved ahead of physical delivery\u003C/h2>\u003Cp>The central facts are now established: the new round is fully subscribed through commitments, values Firmus above its April level, introduces a broader investor mix and is intended to support expansion across Australia and Asia-Pacific. It complements rather than replaces or forms part of the earlier debt facility.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Important transaction details remain private, including investor allocations, funding dates and the division between newly issued and existing shares. Firmus has also not connected the latest equity commitments to revised commissioning schedules or project-by-project budgets for Project Southgate and Batam.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>The next evidence of execution will be funded closings, debt drawdowns, equipment deliveries, secured power and commissioned capacity.
