The primary challenge has shifted from finding vulnerabilities to verifying, disclosing, and patching them.\u003C/p>\n\n\u003Cp>Cloudflare provided a striking example: the company scanned its critical-path systems and uncovered \u003Cstrong>2,000 vulnerabilities\u003C/strong>, of which \u003Cstrong>400 were high- or critical-severity\u003C/strong>. Palo Alto Networks shipped over five times its usual number of patches in its latest release, while Oracle reported fixing vulnerabilities multiple times faster than before.\u003C/p>\n\n\u003Cp>Skeptics have questioned whether Mythos generates excessive false positives or “noise.” Anthropic directly addressed this by turning the model loose on open source. It scanned \u003Cstrong>more than 1,000 major repositories\u003C/strong> that form the backbone of the modern internet. The scan surfaced \u003Cstrong>23,019 vulnerabilities\u003C/strong> in total (including medium- and low-severity issues), with \u003Cstrong>6,202 estimated to be high- or critical-severity\u003C/strong>.\u003C/p>\n\n\u003Cp>To ensure reliability, \u003Cstrong>1,752 high- or critical-rated findings\u003C/strong> were subjected to rigorous independent review by six cybersecurity research firms or by Anthropic.
