If AI slop succeeds in turning the internet into an infinite scroll of high-engagement sludge before the useful applications arrive at scale, we may not get the chance to outgrow it. The pickle does not just sit on the wall anymore; it rewires the entire city around itself.\u003C/p>\n\n\u003Cp>Hoffman’s essay is a provocative reminder that technological progress has rarely been clean or dignified at the beginning. But history also shows that not every early-stage mess automatically evolves into enlightenment.
